What does a new patient visit cost?
Your first visit is a new patient exam, which costs £45 and includes your medical history, a full exam and an x-ray if needed.
The first visit includes taking your medical history and a full examination, with an x-ray if it is necessary. Small x-rays are £30 each. You can see all our prices on the fees page, and your dentist explains any treatment fee before it starts.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring a list of any medicines you take and details of any health conditions, as your dentist needs them to treat you safely.
It also helps to bring any questions, and your old dental records or x-rays if you have them. If you wear a denture or have a dental device, bring it too.
Is Hillcross an NHS or a private practice?
Hillcross is a private practice, so we offer private treatment only.
Our fees are published in full on the fees page. For general information on dental care and costs in England, see NHS dental services.
What if I am nervous about coming?
Tell us when you book. We will plan a gentle first visit, explain each step and stop whenever you ask.
Many new patients have stayed away for years because of fear or embarrassment. You will not be judged. Read more on the nervous patients page.
What if I need to change or cancel an appointment?
