Who it suits
Is All-on-4 right for me?
All-on-4 can suit adults who have lost most or all of the teeth in one jaw, or whose remaining teeth cannot be saved. Your dentist checks your mouth, your jaw and your general health first.
You have lost most or all of your teeth in the upper or lower jaw
You wear a full denture and find it loose, sore or tiring
Your remaining teeth are failing and a dentist has told you they cannot be saved
You want to compare All-on-4 with a full denture and with single implants
From first visit to new teeth.
Consultation
We examine your mouth, ask about your health and what you want, and explain the fee before you decide.
Scans and planning
Your dentist may suggest a 3D scan, which shows how much bone you have to hold the implants.
Placing the implants
Four implants are placed in the jaw. Sedation is available if you feel anxious.
Fitting your teeth
A fixed set of teeth is made and fitted on the implants. Your dentist explains the timing for your case.
How much does All-on-4 cost?
All-on-4 at Hillcross costs from £10,000 per arch, and your consultation is free.
Every jaw is different, so your dentist confirms your full fee in writing before any treatment starts.
If you need extra work first, such as removing teeth, that fee is shown separately. Our simple extraction fee is £150, and complex extractions are £240 to £340.
Why does the price vary?
Your fee depends on your mouth and the result you want, so your dentist gives you a written plan at your consultation. These are the things that change it most.
Whether you are treating the upper jaw, the lower jaw or both.
How many teeth need removing first.
How much bone there is in your jaw, which your dentist checks on a scan.
The material of your fixed teeth, and whether you have a temporary set while you heal.
You see the full fee before you agree to anything, and you are welcome to take the plan home and think it over.
All-on-4 or a full denture?
A full denture is removable and costs less, while All-on-4 is fixed in place and costs more, and your dentist helps you weigh the two.

What is All-on-4?
All-on-4 is a way to replace a full arch of teeth with a fixed set held on four dental implants.
An implant is a small post that replaces the root of a tooth. It is placed in the jaw bone. In All-on-4, four implants carry a whole row of teeth, so you do not need one implant for every missing tooth.
The teeth are fixed in place. You do not take them out at night like a full denture.
Our dental implants page explains single implants, which suit people who are missing one tooth or a few teeth.
Does All-on-4 hurt?
Your dentist explains what you will feel at each stage before anything starts, and sedation is available for implant treatment.
The implants are placed in the jaw, which is surgery. Numbing and sedation help you stay comfortable. You may have some soreness and swelling afterwards, and your dentist tells you how to care for your mouth.
Like any surgery, All-on-4 carries risks, and your dentist explains the ones that apply to you before you decide.
Risks can include infection, swelling and an implant that does not fix firmly to the bone. Smoking and some health conditions can make problems more likely.
Good cleaning at home and regular check-ups help your implants last. See our check-ups and hygiene pages.
Dentists use the General Dental Council's standards to guide how they explain risks and get your consent. You can read about treatment choices on the NHS dentures page.
Is there a care plan for All-on-4?
Yes. We recommend joining our dental implant care plan once your treatment is finished, so you are covered if you need emergency care.
Your dentist explains what the plan includes and what it costs at your consultation, alongside your treatment fee.
Can my dentist refer me for All-on-4?
Yes. We accept referrals from other dentists for implant treatment, and the implant consultation for a referred patient is free.
