Is Hillcross an NHS or a private dentist?
We are a private practice and offer private treatment only. Our fees are published on the fees page.
Will I know the cost before treatment starts?
Yes. Your dentist explains your options and the fee before anything begins, and nothing goes ahead until you agree.
How much does a dental implant cost?
A single implant is from £2,650, made up of £1,350 for placing the implant and £1,300 for the crown. See dental implants.
What does it cost if I miss or cancel an appointment?
Cancelling with less than 48 hours' notice carries a £40 fee. Please call us as early as you can.
How do I book an appointment?
Please call 020 8542 3711. To book, change or cancel an appointment, phone is the best route.
Are you taking new patients?
Yes. We are welcoming new patients in Morden. See new patients for what happens at your first visit.
When are you open?
We are open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm, and on Saturday from 8:30am to 2:00pm. We are closed on Wednesday and Sunday.
Do you see emergencies?
Yes, including people who are not yet patients. Call as early in the day as you can. See emergency dentist.
Can another dentist refer a patient to you?

Yes. Tell us when you book. We explain each step, you can ask questions or pause at any time, and nothing happens until you are ready.
I have not been for years. Will I be judged?
No. Many people stay away for a long time. We start with a conversation about where things are and what you would like.
Do you offer sedation?
We offer sedation for implant treatment and wisdom tooth removal. Ask us about the options when you call.
Who is the dentist who helps anxious patients?
Our principal, Dr Irshad Baurhoo, GDC 115147, is known for his work with anxious and phobic patients. Meet him on his team page.

What is the difference between an implant, a bridge and a denture?
An implant is fixed into the jaw. A bridge is fixed to the teeth either side of a gap. A denture can be taken out. See dental implants, crowns and bridges and dentures.
How can I straighten my teeth?
We offer Invisalign clear aligners, from £2,500. See Invisalign.
How can I make my teeth look brighter?
We offer Boutique Whitening with a home kit. Fees are on the teeth whitening page. Composite bonding, from £200 per tooth, can also change the look of a tooth. See composite bonding.
What can I do about a tooth that is infected or very painful?

Do you offer hygiene appointments?

Do you help with grinding my teeth at night?
Yes, with a soft night guard (£250) or a Michigan splint (£350). See night guards.

Do you see children?
Yes. We see children for check-ups, hygiene, sealants, fillings and emergencies.
When should my child first come?
The NHS advises a first visit as soon as the first teeth appear.
Can I pay for treatment monthly?
Yes. With Tabeo you can spread the cost of treatment over 3 to 36 months, subject to status. Ask us at your consultation, once your fee is confirmed. See the finance terms and a representative example.
What is the Practice Plan?
It is a monthly Direct Debit plan for children that gives a discount on treatment. Ask us for the monthly cost and what it covers.
What does a child's emergency visit cost?
A children's emergency assessment is £60.

Can I check my dentist is registered?
Yes. Every dentist is on the GDC register, and their numbers are on our team page.
Is the practice inspected by the CQC?
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission, location ID 1-13368488745. The practice has not yet been inspected under its current provider.
